Species

Some of the boars and sows were included in the fattening pigs before 2008.
2) Mutton and lamb, horse: Coverage of statistics extended from 1 January 2006.
3) Mutton: Coverage of statistics extended from 1 January 2012.
4) Include also suckler cows.
5) Include also slaughterings of meat breed cattle.
Until 2019, the classification of cattle in the meat production statistics was based on carcass weight categories. From 2020 onwards, the classification is based on slaughter age.
Classification was until year 2019:
Cattle total
Cows
Bulls 130 kg or more
Heifers 130 kg or more
Young cattle 80-129 kg
Calves under 80 kg
6) Cattle is classified as meat breed if its mother is registered as a suckler cow.

Species

PIGS TOTAL

IIncludes also pigs exported for slaughter.

GOATS

Number of slaughtered goats in 2021 has been revised (24.2.2023).
